Secure Social Foundation work in some of the poorest part of country and every day we’re more convinced of their potential as the force for a new India.
The people you find in less privileged communities are dedicated, hardworking and hospitable beyond their means. However, these communities are also often affected by issues of substance abuse, petty crime, gender inequality, malnutrition and lack of sanitation. We find many of these problems can be solved by empowering mothers to to be economically independent and educating children and youth. Secure Social Foundation’s goal is to help individuals gain control of their own lives and become social leaders in their own communities.
Our initiative involves graduation programs for school dropouts, Spoken English training, computer skills, life skills training, health camps, counselling, and creating awareness about potential careers and facilitating them.
Some of our community programs are highly oriented towards encouraging women’s entrepreneurship. Secure Social Foundation has so far provided free healthcare services to many families.
India is the most populous democracy in the world, consisting of 28 states and 7 union territories. It has a quasi-federal structure in which the centre and states share financial and decision-making powers, with the centre having overall prominence. In the event of a large-scale disaster, We respond immediately to families affected by natural disasters with food aid, water and essential items and also work towards rehabilitation of affected families. We work to ensure that children and their families are better prepared to cope with emergencies and that preparedness programmes at community level are child-centred and community based.
